Ten days ago I’ve had a great opportunity to take a three-day vacation in Morong, Bataan, with friends. It was more than what I initially expected.

I used to dread Christmas. It would be the time of the year for Noche Buena, gift-giving, and the obligatory spend-time-with-family flak that Filipino society is all-so-accustomed to. Many friends would be happy to be with their families, eating homecooked food, and exchanging laughs and memories.

Dear September 2011,
You are the month that marks the almost-end of the year, with people greeting each other “Merry Christmas” and Christmas songs being played in the mall.
On one note, I can hardly believe this year is about to end.
