Family Time is Lurve

I take annual vacations during this time of the year (aka Christmas break), and for 2011 I decided to go to sunny, mountain-y Zambales. I visited my aunt and cousins who live here, and so far, I am having a blast.

One of the highlights of my trip is visiting the Subic Night Market and Fiesta Carnival. Too bad my cousins haven’t uploaded the photos yet, but . . . last night we rode around three to four modes of transportation to get there, had dinner, did random shopping, and walked around the tiangges.

Family dinners are a rarity for me, and I love the fact that I was able to spend time with my cousins and their significant others. Over grilled chicken, unlimited rice, and unlimited Cokes, we talked about our family, friends of friends, and of course . . . my love life. LOL. I appreciated their concern very, very much. I assured them that I’ll cross that bridge when I get there. LOL.

I love being in the company of people who’ve known you since you were born, saw you in diapers whilst expelling drool, and remind you of random awesome memories.

A Long-ish (but Eventful) Weekend

Today will yet another be a busy day, and I’m glad—SO GLAD!—I got to take a rest yesterday. Well, except for a few unexpected events, I was able to rest and recharge. :D

Yesterday I spent most of my day online, reading blogs and catching up with people. I meant to fix up my Google Reader and Twitter lists, but my internet connection didn’t allow me to get this done. I guess even my OC streak needed to take a rest haha.

We’ll be having a party with a few of the writers, photographers, graphic artists, and web designers who signed up at our church’s Communications Ministry, fof which I’m part of. (what a long sentence that was!) Our party’s theme is wearing funky hats, shades, or headgear. Hopefully I can get to post some photos of the event. :D I’m looking forward to touch base with them and have fun!

I was tasked to do Logistics for the party, so I gotta be there early. :D

And then after that we’ll be having a movie night at home with my friends. :D Heeee! This is gonna be fun.

all i want for Christmas aside from my two front teeth

no introduction is usually necessary for these kinds of things, so without further ado . . .*drumroll* hahaha!

1. a brand new Pink Chic HP 110 Mini XP laptop. ideal for note-taking and random surges of writing. kikayness and techy-ness in the same package! ahluvet.

2. a Maxwell Leadership Bible. i’m a nut for reading and learning new things, and a different version of the Bible is always refreshing for me. i like seeing different perspectives on various things, you see. this version in particular is chock full of wisdom, which is why it’s one of my picks.

3. a point-and-shoot Nikon Coolpix digital camera. i’ve always wanted to have a DSLR in the past but i realize that i really wouldn’t be using it that much because i don’t really want to make photography a long-term hobby; thus, a DSLR wouldn’t be maximized to its full potential. that is why i’ll be happy with a simple point-and-shoot digicam.

now my list technically ends here, but just for the sake of pahabol-ness and random-ness. . .

4. fruitcake. a lot of people hate it, but i don’t. so if a well-meaning friend or family member gave you an entire slab of this that you probably wouldn’t eat anyway, i’ll be glad to accept it and eat it with all my heart. :D HAHAHA

so, there. i don’t know how to end this blog. Merry Christmas? hahaha!
