A friend of mine moved houses recently, and to help out I volunteered to take care of her kids aged six, four, and one. Overall it was a fun experience because I got to spend time with the kids and at the same time get a taste of motherhood. Continue reading

Family Time is Lurve
I take annual vacations during this time of the year (aka Christmas break), and for 2011 I decided to go to sunny, mountain-y Zambales. I visited my aunt and cousins who live here, and so far, I am having a blast.
One of the highlights of my trip is visiting the Subic Night Market and Fiesta Carnival. Too bad my cousins haven’t uploaded the photos yet, but . . . last night we rode around three to four modes of transportation to get there, had dinner, did random shopping, and walked around the tiangges.
Family dinners are a rarity for me, and I love the fact that I was able to spend time with my cousins and their significant others. Over grilled chicken, unlimited rice, and unlimited Cokes, we talked about our family, friends of friends, and of course . . . my love life. LOL. I appreciated their concern very, very much. I assured them that I’ll cross that bridge when I get there. LOL.
I love being in the company of people who’ve known you since you were born, saw you in diapers whilst expelling drool, and remind you of random awesome memories.
Jesus is my family
Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
Matthew 12:49-50
At the end of the day, Lord, YOU are my family.
Thank you for your love and faithfulness to me—even if I myself was far from faithful. How you manage not to change towards me is something unfathomable. You are amazing.
Lord, thank you, because you chose me. That makes all the difference in the world.
Thank You, Lord.
You pointed to me, Lord. You consider me as your family.
How could you be so good to me?
I am chosen, your word says. I am chosen, royal, and holy. Thank you for this truth—Your Word is the truth that transcends all facts.
Thank you, Lord.
There’s Always a First Time for Everything
I’m sure 11-11-11 was a special day for most of us, being a unique date and all that. It was quite a day for me too, because I helped coordinate a friend’s wedding. Continue reading
Guest Post: Able
Today marks my first guest post in my online blogging existence, coming from my friend Rads Radam (left), a nurse by profession. I’ve had the privilege of hearing this story from her firsthand, and I got so encouraged by it that I cajoled her to write about it.
Here goes. Continue reading
