I got the info from this link: http://www.gmanews.tv/story/204767/pinoy-facebook-users-6th-largest-in-the-world

I can think of a couple reasons why this is so:

  • With the influx of Pinoys leaving the country, we want to keep in touch with our loved ones
  • Since we are naturally a relational lot, we love finding out what’s going on with our friends (weren’t we told to be the texting capital of the world a few years back?)
  • We used to love that other social network, Friendster.

Either way, I’m very happy—Facebook has a lot of potential. If you’re starting a business or marketing some stuff or want to declare your new relationship status LOL, Facebook would be the best way to go.

[TDBC] Day Three—The First Date

October 31, 2010 by Karess | 3 Comments | Filed in 30-day blog challenge

Day Three:
Your idea of the perfect first date.

To be honest, I’m “alangan” answering this because:

  • The guy who would ask me out in the future is very likely to end up reading this blog and glean from what I write here
  • In effect, I won’t be very surprised
  • . . . which means that won’t produce so much effort on his end
  • Because, truth be told, I’d rather have him exert effort and squirm in agony thinking about it. Mwahahahahaha XD

Evilness aside . . .

Surprise me. Show me what you got.

[TDBC] Day Two—scramble is love <3

Day Two:
A photo of something you ate today.

I always look forward to my weekends because I can get my Manila Scramble fix. Unfortunately, I’ve never had the chance to try this uniquely Pinoy pink concoction until recently, when Forum Robinson’s opened not one, but TWO stalls in the area.

omnomnomnomnom

. . . and somehow, I’m not so looking forward to Day Three of the Blog Challenge. o_o

Psalm 139 from God’s POV

The Lord says: (Put your name here)

1 I have examined your heart
And know everything about you.

2 I know when you sit or stand.
When far away, I know your every thought.

3 I chart the path ahead of you and tell you where to stop and rest.
Every moment, I know where you are.

4 I know what you’re going to say even before you say it.

5 I both precede and follow you,
And place my hand of blessing on your head.

6 This is too glorious, too wonderful to believe!

7 You can never be lost to My Spirit!
You can never get away from your God!

8 If you go up to heaven, I am there;
If you go to the place of the dead, I am there.

9 If you ride in the morning winds to the farthest oceans,

10 Even there My Hand will guide you, My Strength will support you.

11 If you try to hide in the darkness, the night becomes light around you.

12 For even darkness cannot hide from God; to me the night shines as bright as day.
Darkness and light are both alike to Me.

13 I made all the delicate, inner parts of you body, and knit them together in your mother’s womb.

14 Thank Me for making you so wonderfully complex!
It is amazing to think about. My workmanship is marvelous—and how well you know it.

15 I was there while you were being formed in utter seclusion!

16 I saw you before you were born and scheduled each day of your life even before you began to breathe.
Every day was recorded in My Book!

17, 18 How precious it is to realize that I am thinking about you constantly!
You can’t even count how many times a day My Thoughts turn towards you.

And when you awake in the morning, I am still thinking of you!

Thank you, Iris, for sharing this with me. :)

The Jog Blog

October 30, 2010 by Karess | No Comments | Filed in Happiness

Last night I was able to do something I’ve wanted to do since last week:

Brisk-walk. :D

Admittedly, I haven’t had a chance to do so the past year, because I switched jobs, and I had to wake up extra early to get to walk. Not that I’m blaming the new (and awesomer) job for that—blame it on personal procrastination. I had lost much weight during that period, and I’m not very proud to say that I gained it back—and much more—a year later.

Most of my colleagues started the jogging bit a few months ago. I hadn’t had the chance to join them, because I had decent no running shoes then. Suddenly I saw the results of their labor—two of them actually lost weight, and a lot of it! I grew very very very very intrigued and jealous (haha!) of their efforts. So hey, why not continue what I used to do? I fixed my shoes myself and decided to gave it a go last night, along with a few of the regular joggers.

I missed having to walk really fast. I love how my body was actually enjoying the exercise. And I loved the high afterwards. Truth be told, I didn’t want to stop just yet.

I don’t think I will, anytime soon—and I hope this time, for real. :D

I hope to get a newer—and much fancier—pair of shoes this Christmas! Woot!
