learning never ends

i really am in a contemplative mood lately.

while having lunch and watching So Close on the cafeteria flat screen TV, i realized that i don’t really remember how my mother taught me how to use a spoon and a fork while eating. i do remember that she sat down with me and taught me how to use the utensils properly. the details are quite sketchy, given that so much has happened from the time i first learned until today. but eventually i also learned how to use chopsticks as i grew older, among other things.

and then i realized too that the learning process never really ends, and is never really limited to mere spoon and fork. i don’t remember how i learned how to read, and write, and surf the internet, but i know that time, energy, and resources were invested, and that at the end of the day, what was learned proved to be valuable, and was intended to be used and carried out in daily living.

someday, too, we’re all gonna be teaching what we’ve been learning, and sharing it to others. and as the teaching process comes, we learn something new again–how to be patient, how to explain things more thoroughly in such a way that the other person would understand, etc.

we learn. again and again and again. it’s a cyclical thing and the process never really ends.

who knew that a facebook quiz could make me cry?

Karess took the “Which mighty woman of the Bible are you most like?” quiz and the result is You are most like MARY MAGDALENE.

She was forgiven much & loved much, and you certainly love much! You are a passionate person, who loves God & life. You have a tendency to count your blessings and be very grateful, even in small things. You are an overcomer, and will not allow any life circumstances to hold you down.
